Opening for an Australian Music Icon

Over the weekend we performed at Perricoota Festival at Perricoota Station and we got to open for the headline act, Daryl Braithwaite.

If we’re lucky enough to crowd fund our Debut EP and tour, we’d hope to have a career as good as Daryls’…

Here’s a part of his scorecard:

  • According to rock music historian, Ian McFarlane, Sherbet was the most successful Australian pop band of the 1970s. With a run of 20 consecutive hit singles to their credit, and 17 albums that yielded ten platinum and 40 gold disc awards. In 1990 Sherbet were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
  • As the lead singer of the band and as a solo act, he’s  toured here and overseas, with their music charting all over the place.
  • “The Horses” went to number one, we still love that song.
  • Most importantly, despite all his success, he’s still one of the good guys…

Thanks to everyone who came to the Perricoota Festival, we really enjoyed it. And thanks to the Mgt of Perricoota Station for making us feel so welcome.

Our crowdfunding wraps up on Australia Day at www.pozible.com/theroycetwins – please jump on board if you like our music (and thank you if you have). We can’t do it out with our supporters.
